BPSC 2022 Prelims Syllabus

The General Studies paper is the only topic in the BPSC Prelims syllabus. The GS paper is designed to correspond to the UPSC Prelims test. The BPSC syllabus 2022 for the Prelims test is provided here.

BPSC Prelims Syllabus: Important Points

The BPSC Prelims exam is designed to assess a candidate’s knowledge of general knowledge. The BPSC Pre-exam syllabus lays the groundwork for candidates to qualify for the Mains exam. Here are some important aspects to remember about the BPSC Prelims Syllabus.

  • All the questions in the prelims exam are objective (multiple choice questions) type.
  • There is no negative marking.
  • The prelims exam is a screening test, therefore, its result will not be considered for the final merit list.

BPSC 2022 Mains Syllabus

The BPSC Mains syllabus focuses mostly on the applicants’ understanding of General Studies. The Mains exam will have four papers: General Hindi, General Studies 1, General Studies 2, and Optional topic.

BPSC 2022 Syllabus: Hindi

The BPSC Hindi Mains Exam Syllabus would be descriptive and qualifying in nature. The Hindi syllabus would be based on the Bihar School Education Board (BSEB) standard. To prepare for this subject, you might study from any decent Hindi book. The topics covered in the Mains syllabus are listed below.

  • Syntax: 25 Marks
  • Essay: 30 Marks
  • Grammar: 30 Marks
  • Summarisation: 15 Marks

Because the General Hindi paper is simply a qualifying paper, its marks will not be taken into account while determining the final rank.

BPSC 2022 Syllabus: GS Paper 1

The relevance of the BPSC Syllabus for GS and optional papers will influence your merit list. The BPSC Syllabus for GS Paper 1 is an expansion of the Prelims syllabus. The BPSC interview is a requirement of the exam. Only those who pass the BPSC Pre and Mains exams will be able to participate in the interview.
