MAHA TET Exam 2022: Notification, Dates, Eligibility, Syllabus

The Maharashtra State Council of Examinations (MSCE) administers the MAHA TET Exam, or Maharashtra Teacher Eligibility Test, to determine candidates’ eligibility to teach in Maharashtra’s public schools. It’s an OMR entrance exam that’s done with a pen and paper.

The MAHA TET Official Notification 2022 will invite all interested candidates from Maharashtra to apply for positions as Lower Primary Teachers (classes 1-5) and Upper Primary Teachers (classes 6-8) in Maharashtra’s government schools.

The exam is conducted in accordance with the National Council of Teacher Education’s rules and regulations (NCTE). Maharashtra’s Education Minister will issue the notification soon. This period will be used to announce the availability of online applications, the release of admit cards, and the date of the exam.

MAHA TET Exam Eligibility Criteria 2022

In order to be considered, applicants must have completed one of the following qualifications:

For Primary Teachers (Class I to V): 

  • The candidate must obtain a score of 50% marks on the Class 12 or equivalent examination. (Reserved categories must obtain 45% marks)
  • The candidate must have a diploma in elementary education (D.Ed) or a bachelor’s degree in elementary education (B.Ed) with a minimum of 50%. (Reserved categories must obtain 45%)
  • Candidates who are in their final year of D.Ed or B.Ed studies are also eligible to apply. 

For Upper Primary Teachers (Class VI to VIII):

  • The candidate must have a Bachelor’s degree that is relevant and applicable with a minimum of 50%. (45 percent for reserved categories)
  • The candidate must have earned a pass grade on a Diploma in Teacher Education (D.Ed) or a Bachelor’s Degree in Teacher Education (B.Ed).
  • Candidates in their final year of D.Ed or B.Ed programs are also eligible to apply and take the exam.

MAHA TET Exam Apply Online 2022

All candidates are advised to apply for the exam only after thoroughly reviewing the eligibility requirements. MAHA TET Application Forms submitted online will be considered and candidates will be allowed to sit for the exam. Candidates can fill out the MAHA TET Exam application form by following the steps below.

  • Step 1: Visit the MAHA TET website for more information.
  • Step 2: Fill out a new registration form.
  • Step 3: Candidates will receive the TET Registration ID Password via SMS after successfully registering.
  • Step 4: Log in with the credentials that were generated.
  • Step 5: Complete all of the required fields and upload scanned copies of your photo and signature.
  • Step 6: Go to Preview and double-check all of the information you’ve provided.
  • Step 7: Proceed to the payment of the application fee, which is determined by the paper and category.
  • Step 8: Save and print the completed application form for later use.

MAHA TET Preparation Plan 2022
