The bachelor’s degree required to pursue teaching as a career in schools is known as a B.Ed. B.Ed. Eligibility Criteria

The requirements for B.Ed admission in 2022 differ slightly between universities. The overall criteria or requirement, however, remains the same.

Candidates must have received a minimum grade of 50–55 percent on their graduation exam from a recognized university. Students pursuing a Bachelor of Technology or a postgraduate degree must achieve a minimum grade of 55 percent.
Candidates who fall into one of the reserved categories, such as SC, ST, or PWD, are given a 5% relaxation in their overall score.
In particular, there is no set age limit for pursuing this course, but some colleges require applicants to be at least 19 years old to be considered for admission.
Above all, candidates must pass the entrance examination in the majority of cases.

Syllabus for the B.Ed. Program

Most colleges and universities have converted the B.Ed syllabus into a semester format. The B.Ed syllabus is designed in such a way that candidates will be equipped with the necessary knowledge and training to manage the ever-changing school curriculum. In 2014, the NCERT updated the B.Ed syllabus in accordance with NCTE guidelines.

B.Ed. Admission Procedure

B.Ed admission to the best colleges and universities is accomplished through a variety of entrance exams administered by state governments or individual universities. B.Ed- Important Entrance Exams

The various state agencies or the institutions themselves conduct B.Ed entrance exams. The following sections provide information on some of the most important B.Ed entrance exams.

RIE CEE

Regional Institutes of Education Common Entrance Examination is the full form of RIE CEE.
For admission to teaching courses offered by Regional Institutes of Education (RIEs) in Bhopal, Ajmer, Mysore, Shillong, and Bhubaneswar, the NCERT conducts the RIE CEE.
The exam will take 120 minutes to complete.
The application fee for General and OBCs is INR 900. The application fee for SC/ST/PWD is INR 450.

CUCET

Central Universities Common Entrance Test is a national level B.Ed entrance exam conducted by the 14 central universities for admission to the different UG, PG and PhD programmes. However, the CUCET entrance has been cancelled due to covid-19.
The Registration process of CUCET 2022 has been postponed due to the covid 19 pandemic.
The B.Ed entrance examination lasts for 2 hours.
The application fee for the entrance examination is INR 800 for General/OBC category and INR 350 for SCs/STs.

Delhi University B.Ed Entrance Exam

The Delhi University administers an entrance exam for admission to the B.Ed program.
This year’s admissions will be based on a merit list.
The exam is usually taken online and lasts two hours, with 100 multiple-choice questions.
The entrance exam has three parts: subject knowledge (up to 12th grade), language proficiency, reasoning, and general awareness.
The application fee for DU B.Ed is INR 500 for General/OBC candidates and INR 250 for SC/ST candidates.

IPU CET

IPU CET is a university-level entrance exam held by Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University for admission to various undergraduate and graduate programs.
The B.Ed entrance exam lasts three hours, and the application fee is INR 1200.
Reasoning, teaching methodology, general awareness, and English comprehension are all on the exam’s syllabus.
A total of 200 seats are available.

BHU B.Ed. Entrance

The Banaras Hindu University administers the BHU-UET, a university-level examination.
The entrance exam for the B.Ed program will be conducted entirely online. The exam can last up to two hours and fifteen minutes.
The application fee for general/OBC categories is INR 400, and for reserved categories like SC/STs, it is INR 200.

Bihar CET B.Ed

The Lalit Narayan Mithila University administers the Bihar CET B.Ed. It’s also known as LNMU B.Ed.
The application fee for the unreserved category is INR 1000, INR 750 for women, and INR 500 for reserved categories.
The LNMU B.Ed Entrance Exam takes 120 minutes to complete.

Jharkhand B.Ed Entrance Examination

The Jharkhand Combined Entrance Competitive Examination Board, JCECEB, administers the Jharkhand B.Ed entrance examination.
The application process for the JCECEB’s B.Ed entrance examination is done entirely online.
Following the completion of the final round of counselling for B.Ed Admission, the JCECEB will release the schedule for the next B.Ed Entrance Examination.
The application fee is INR 1000 for general candidates, INR 750 for OBC 1 and 2 candidates, and INR 500 for SC, ST, and female candidates.

TUEE 2022

The Tezpur University Entrance Exam (TUEE) is a university-level entrance exam held by Tezpur University in Assam for admission to its undergraduate and graduate programs.
The B.Ed entrance exam is held in an offline mode and lasts 2 hours.
There are 40 seats available for B.Ed.
The entrance exam is worth a total of 100 marks. For each correct answer, one mark is awarded, and for each incorrect answer, 0.25 is deducted.
