Eligibility for PGDM in Service Management

A B.E./ B. Tech qualification (10+2+3 pattern) in any discipline from a recognized/authorized institution with a minimum aggregate score of 45 percent (40 percent for SC/ ST/ OBC applicants) is required for admission to the course. Engineering, Medicine, Chartered Accountancy (ICAI), Cost and Works Accountancy (ICWAI), Chartered Secretary (ICSI), and Law degree holders may also register.

Candidates who have taken their last year’s examinations in a suitable Bachelor’s degree program and have yet to pass it are also eligible to join, provided that they complete their Bachelor’s degree program/ graduate within a set time frame.


Admission Process PGDM in Services Management

Acceptance to the program is granted based on the results of a suitable qualifying examination and a subsequent round of interviews, or, in most circumstances, direct admission.

Written Test – The majority of institutes administer written exams between November and January. The written tests, for example, include the assessment and evaluation elements:

  • Quantitative Skills: This component assesses the aspirant’s ability to perform up to higher secondary school mathematics, including Arithmetic (Number Theory, Ratio and Proportion, TSD, Percentages, Partnerships, Mixtures and Allegations, and so on).
  • Geometry: Lines and Angles, Triangles, Circles, Co-Ordinate Geometry etc.
  • Algebra: Quadratic equations, Functions
  • Probability, Permutations and Combinations
  • Set theory, Trigonometry, Stock and Shares etc.
  • Verbal Ability: Grammar, English use, language learning, vocabulary, and other characteristics of the English language are covered in this part.
  • General and Business Awareness: This category contains both static and current general and business knowledge.
  • Logic, critical reasoning, and visual reasoning are examples of cognitive faculties.

Group Discussion and Personal Interview – 

Several institutions hold these rounds between February and March. Group behavior, knowledge, language skills, reasoning ability, adaptability, leadership, confidence, initiative, confidence, and inventiveness are just a few of the personality qualities assessed during GDs and PIs. Personal Interviews and Group Interviews are the two types of interviews. The Personal Interview evaluates a student’s education, ambitions, and personality, whereas the Group Interview evaluates their critical thinking skills.
