JEE Main Exam Pattern: The marking scheme has been updated by NTA, but there have been no new changes to the JEE Main Exam Pattern for 2024. The JEE Main 2024 Question Paper will now have two sections, Section A with 20 Multiple-Choice Questions and Section B with 10 numerical value questions, from which candidates must choose five to answer correctly. In contrast to last year, JEE Main 2024 will award a negative score of -1 for both sections.

JEE Main Mock Tests can be a great way for people taking the test to learn about the JEE Main Exam Pattern. On its official website, nta.ac.in, the NTA gives people who want to take the JEE Main official mock tests. There are 18 mock tests in total, and you can take them in English, Hindi, or Gujarati. At TPCs, you don’t have to pay anything to take a mock test. The test will not cost anything. But this test shouldn’t be used as a practice test for the real test, and you don’t need to log in to take it. Check JEE Main Mock Test 2024: Registration, Rules, and Tips for Getting Ready
BIE Telangana has put out free online Mock Tests for JEE Main 2024. You will be able to take the tests every day, every week, or as part of a grand mock test series. Taking into account the current lockdown, this was done to help candidates prepare for the next JEE Main session in 2024. Anyone who wants to can sign up for free online classes at tsibe.cgg.gov.in. The test will be given in English and Telugu, and all students will be able to take it for free. Candidates can also use their phones to take the practice tests by downloading a mobile app. Register Here
Students are sometimes put in the difficult position of deciding whether to give themselves another opportunity by dropping a class or to try to gain admission on their very first try. It can be difficult to prepare for both the JEE Main exam and the board exams at the same time.

Because of their track record of success in previous examinations, particular subject areas deserve a greater allocation of both time and effort than other subject areas. The following is a list of the topics that are included in the JEE Main syllabus for Chemistry, along with an estimate of how heavily they will be weighted on the exam.
Important Topics | Expected Weightage |
---|---|
Carbohydrates, Amino Acids, and Polymers | 7% |
Chemical Bonding | 6% |
Transition Elements & Coordination Chemistry | 9% |
General Organic Chemistry | 6% |
Periodic Table and Representative elements | 6% |
Atomic Structure | 5% |
Mathematics can be found as a section in each of the three JEE Main papers; the following table provides a breakdown of the topical weighting for mathematics on the JEE Main exam:
JEE Main Mathematics Topics | Weightage |
---|---|
Coordinate Geometry | 17% |
Binomial Theorem | 3% |
Differential Calculus | 17% |
Statistics | 3% |
Matrices and Determinants | 7% |

The aptitude section is going to be included in the B. Arch paper as well as the B. Planning paper. The following table provides an explanation of the JEE Main 2024 syllabus’s most significant topics, along with their respective weightages for the Aptitude Test in Paper 2:
Important Topics for Aptitude | Marking Weightage |
---|---|
Awareness of Places, persons, buildings, and materials | 2-3% |
Building Forms and Elements | – |
Texture and Objects related to Architecture | 2-3% |
Color Texture | 1-2% |

Visualizing 3D objects from 2D drawings | 3-4% |
3D- Perception and Appreciation of scale and proportion of objects. | 2-3% |
Yes, you can apply for both a B. Arch and a B. Planning paper. In this case, your test will last 3 hours and 30 minutes.
JEE Advanced is different from JEE Main in that it has a few more topics than the class 12th curriculum. Some of the topics in JEE Advanced are not in JEE Main. For example, Thermal Physics is in JEE Advanced but not in JEE Main. Electrochemistry is another subject that is on JEE Advanced but not on JEE main.
As a result of the high level of competency required, there is a good chance that the JEE Main 2024 exam will have a level of difficulty that falls somewhere between moderately high and extremely high.
In the B.E./B. Tech paper for JEE Main 2024, there are 30 questions for which the answer will be a number. Each of the three sections—Physics, Chemistry, and Math—will have 30 questions. There will be 20 multiple-choice questions and 10 questions based on numbers. The candidates can choose to answer 5 of the 10 questions with numerical answers. Candidates should be aware that, according to the new marking scheme, there will be a negative mark for both MCQs and questions with numeric value answers. For wrong answers, you will lose one point.
At the examination location, calculators of any kind will not be permitted, and there will be no provision for using an online calculator. On the rough sheet, you are required to perform all of the necessary computations.
Kinematics is a very important chapter not only due to the fact that it carries a high weightage but also due to the fact that it is the most fundamental chapter of mechanics and can be applied to almost any other subject in physics. Candidates need to demonstrate that they have conceptual clarity regarding kinematics in order to be considered.
Every year, lakhs of people take the JEE Main exam, which is a way to get into the best engineering schools in the country. You can’t underestimate how hard the test is, especially since there are so many people taking it. But anyone can get to the required rank range with a good plan, the right resources, and hard work.
No, all three papers (B.E./B.Tech, B.Arch, and B.Planning) will take the same amount of time, which is 3 hours. But if someone wants to take both the B. Arch and B. Planning papers, it will take 3 hours and 30 minutes.
