JEE Main vs. JEE Advanced: People in India who want to get into B.E. or B.Tech programs often wonder what the difference is between JEE Main and JEE Advanced. There are a few differences between the two national-level entrance exams for top engineering schools in India, even though they are closely related. JEE Main is a test that students take to get into NITs, IIITs, and GFTIs. JEE Main is also the test you need to take to get into JEE Advanced. On the other hand, IITs use JEE Advanced to decide who gets in.

• NTA is in charge of running JEE Main (National Testing Agency). This test is given twice a year.
• Each of the seven participating IITs (Roorkee, Kharagpur, Delhi, Kanpur, Bombay, Hyderabad, and Guwahati) takes turns giving the JEE Advanced exam. Every year, the test is given.

JEE Main vs JEE Advanced Eligibility Criteria

The application process for the JEE Main exam is open to anyone who meets the requirements for participation. However, in order to be considered for JEE Advanced, a candidate must place in the top 2,50,000 of the JEE Main exam. JEE Main Eligibility Criteria

• The Joint Entrance Examination, Main (JEE Main) is the primary examination that students are required to take in order to be considered for admission to top engineering colleges such as NITs, IIITs, and GFTIs.
• In order to be eligible for the exam, the students will need to meet all of the following JEE Main 2023 Eligibility Criteria:

• There is a disparity between the maximum number of tries a student is allowed for the JEE Main and the JEE Advanced exams.
• Candidates have the opportunity to take the JEE Main exam three times. It is considered one attempt even if it is made during both sessions of the same year.
• On the other hand, individuals are only permitted two attempts at taking the JEE Advanced exam within a span of three years.

• The JEE Main Syllabus is the same as the CBSE class 11 and 12 syllabus.
  • For Paper 1 (B.E./B.Tech), the JEE Main Syllabus includes topics from Physics, Chemistry, and Math.
  • The JEE Main Syllabus for Paper 2A (B.Arch) includes topics from Aptitude, Drawing, and Mathematics.
  • Math, planning, and aptitude are all covered in the JEE Main Syllabus 2023 for Paper 2B (B.Plan).
• Electronic devices, electromagnetic waves, and communication systems are all part of JEE Main Physics, but you don’t have to know about them for JEE Advanced.

JEE Advanced Syllabus

• Most of the time, the JEE Advanced Syllabus is smaller than the JEE Main Syllabus. But JEE Advanced has a few more topics than the 11th and 12th-grade curriculum.
