OUAT 2023 Application Form

The OUAT 2023 applications form will be available on its official website. Prior to filling out the Application form of OUAT 2023, the applicants are required to read all important instructions & informations. All applicants are also required to ensure before applying for OUAT 2023 examination that they meet all the eligibility standards. If an applicant fails to do so then he/ she will not be considered eligible and the application form of OUAT is considered invalid. How to fill OUAT Application Form 2023

The steps to filling out the application form of OUAT 2023 entrance exam are given as follows.

Step 1: OUAT 2023 Registration

  • Go to the OUAT’s official website.
  • Now you have to click the link available for OUAT registration.
  • Applicants will have to provide some details like their name, valid email ID, DoB and an active mobile number, etc as per the requirement to fill the OUAT registration form.
  • After completing the registration process, applicants will get an OTP to verify the registration process.
  • After verification, the system will generate Login credentials and send the details via mail.

Step 2: Fill the Application Form

  • Now applicants will have to proceed next by clicking on the button named “Already Registered” and then have to log in using the login credentials.
  • Now it is instructed to read all the given instructions very carefully and then click the button of declaration.
  • After that, applicants will have to provide the required details like personal details, academic qualification details, communication details, etc.

Step 3: Upload Required Documents

In this step, applicants will have to upload the required documents such as scanned images of passport size photograph, and signature in the prescribed format as given below:

  1. The file size of the Recent passport size photograph should be of Maximum 200 Kb in the JPG/JPEG format while dimension should be 200px and 150px (Height & width respectively).
  2. The file size of the scanned signature should be of Maximum 200 Kb in JPG/JPEG format while dimension should be 100px and 150px (Height & width respectively).

Step 4: Exam centre preferences

  • In this step, applicants will have to choose the preferences for exam city depending on their convenience.
  • After filling in the choices, click the option of self-declaration.

Step 5: Application Fee Payment

  • The required OUAT 2023 application fee is Rs. 1400 (as per last year’s information) for all the UG and PG courses.
  • Note that, the paid application fee will not be refundable under any circumstances.
  • Applicants can pay the application fee through any of the options from debit/ credit cards/ net banking.

Step 6: Printing Application Form

  • After paying the application, do not forget to take a hard copy of the filled application form for future use.

Application Fee

  • The application fee for OUAT 2023 will payable using the online payment option.
  • The required OUAT 2023 application fee is Rs. 1400 (as per last year’s information) for all the UG and PG courses.
  • The required OUAT 2023 application fee is Rs. Rs 750 for Diploma/ Polytechnic courses.
  • Applicants can pay the application fee through any of the options from debit/ credit cards/ net banking.
  • Applicants can also pay the OUAT application fee by visiting at the nearest Jan Seva Kendra (common service center).

OUAT 2023 Eligibility Criteria

The OUAT 2023 Eligibility Criteria to get admission to Undergraduate & Postgraduate courses offered by the Orissa University’s affiliated colleges are the required eligibility criteria. Applicants with a minimum age of 17 years old, will be eligible to apply for OUAT. Prior to filling out the application form, applicants interested to enroll in the desired UG Programs should check all the eligibility criteria as given below:

General Eligibility

  • Nationality: The applicants should be Indian and must be domiciled of the state Orissa can apply for the entrance test.
  • Age Criteria: Applicants with a minimum age of 17 years as of 31/ 12/ 2023 can apply for UG courses.

OUAT 2023 Exam Pattern

The OUAT 2023 exam pattern helps applicants to understand the format and structure of the examination. Applicants will be performed better on the exam day if they are familiar with the OUAT exam pattern 2023. Applicants must respond to all questions in three different subjects. Physics & Chemistry are compulsory subjects to answer the questions from these sections, but students can choose between Mathematics and Biology depending on their program.

For UG Program

Type of questions: The type of asked questions will be objective i.e. MCQs.

Duration: Two hours will be given to complete the test.

Medium of exam: The medium of the exam is English.

Maximum marks: There will a total of 200 marks.

Note: For M.Sc (Ag) program, There will be two parts in the question paper; Part A & Part B. 180 MCQs will be there in Part A (Non-Crop Specific) & 40 questions will be there in Part B (Crop Specific). The applicants will have to attempt all 180 questions of Part A & only 20 questions of Part B.

The score high in the OUAT 2023 exam, applicants must be aware of some specific tips & techniques. Applicants can make a good score in the OUAT exam if they have strategically designed and planned their preparation journey. The preparation techniques & strategies are discussed below.

Sample Papers: Collect as many samples of papers as possible. Collect the previous years’ Agriculture or Fisheries question papers, or any other course the applicant has chosen. Solving question papers provide insight into the types of questions that are asked, the subjects that have more weightage, and the marking scheme. It will be a challenge for you if you try to finish the paper in the allotted time as given in the entrance exam. You can examine yourself and get an idea about your strengths & abilities by doing so.

Get Prep Books:  At least two to three books must be purchased for the preparation of the course requested. You can know more about the chosen course & subjects, as well as the content that can help you to resolve your issues. By reading recommended books for preparation, one can gain a thorough understanding of the subject’s nature. 

Set a Time Table:  One must plan out how much time they can devote to studying on a daily & weekly basis.

OUAT Admit Card 2023

Candidates who have registered for the Odisha University of Agriculture and Technology’s entrance examination can get their OUAT 2023 admit card by going to the university’s official website. The OUAT 2023 admit card will be released in the 3rd week of April 2023. Applicants can access their admit card until the day before the exam. Applicants must ensure that all of their details are correct on their OUAT 2023 hall ticket before downloading it; if they are not, they must contact the officials and have to make the corrections so that there will be no problems on exam day. The OUAT 2023 admit card will not be sent by mail or courier to any applicants.

How to Download OUAT UG Admit Card 2023

  1. Open the OUAT’s official website.
  2. Now open the link named “Download Admit Card”.

OUAT Merit List 2023

The Orissa university will create an OUAT 2023 common merit list as well as a category-by-category merit list on the basis of weightage score. Tentatively, in the 4th week of June 2023, the merit list/ rank card of OUAT 2023 will be published. The applicant’s name will appear on the OUAT 2023 merit list, along with their applicant’s overall rank & OUAT exam roll number. The OUAT 2023 merit list will only be available on the university’s official website. Qualified applicants will be called to attend the OUAT 2023 counseling process on the basis of ranking & positions on the merit list.

OUAT Results 2023

The OUAT 2023 result will be announced online in the 4th week of May 2023. Applicants must provide their user ID & password in the login window to view the OUAT 2023 exam result. The applicants will not receive any hard copy by mail or courier of the OUAT result 2023. Applicants who meet the requirements must complete the OUAT form B, which will be available from the last week of May. The application form B for OUAT 2023 will be due in the 2nd week of June.

  • Now you have to open the link “OUAT PG merit list” of applied courses for the purpose of admission.
  • The OUAT result for the Postgraduate programs consisting of details: rank, applicant’s name, and applicant’s roll number.
  • Now applicants will need to Download the result of OUAT 2023 for PG programs.
  • Now applicants will have to generate copies of the OUAT result for the admission and counseling process.

OUAT Counselling 2023

The OUAT 2023 counseling will begin in the month of July 2023. Applicants must report to the counseling locations with all required documentation. For registration, they must pay a counseling fee of Rs 500. Applicants will be given a certain amount of time to fix their allotted seats during the counseling of OUAT 2023, after that certain time period they may lose their claim for the purpose of admission. The seat allocation process of OUAT 2023 will be decided on the basis of merit and the applicant’s program preferences as indicated in their application forms.

OUAT Selection Process

To be eligible for admission, the applicant must pass the entrance exam of the OUAT. The applicant’s OUAT exam score should be higher than or at least equal to the OUAT’s minimum admissions cutoff. Counseling & admission processes for applicants will be conducted based on the cut-off scores.

For UG

  • Applicants have to pass an SCEE (single common entrance examination) to get admission into various Undergraduate courses like B.Sc (Hons.) Agriculture, B.Sc (Hons.) Forestry, B.Sc (Hons.) Horticulture, etc.
  • Admission into Undergraduate courses will be done based on the weighted score (merit) which is calculated by the applicants’ performance in academics and OUAT entrance examination.

In case if two applicants accomplish the same weighted score, then to break the tie between them, the following measures will be carried out:

  • Applicants who have secured higher marks in the OUAT entrance test will be ranked higher.
  • If the tie still persists, then marks obtained in class XII (Science) or equivalent will be considered.
  • If the tie still persists, then marks obtained in class X or equivalent will be considered.
  • If the tie is still there, aggregate marks in PCB / PCM will be considered to rank higher.

For PG

  • Admission into Postgraduate courses will be done based on the weighted score (merit).
  • A common list of merit will be there to take admission to the PG program.
  • Admission into Postgraduate courses will be done based on the weighted score (merit) which is calculated by the applicants’ marks in the entrance exam and weightage of extracurricular activities.

In case if two applicants accomplish the same weighted score, then to break the tie between them, the following measures will be carried out:

  • Applicants who have secured higher marks in the OUAT entrance test followed by the highest Overall Grade Point Average (OGPA) or percentage of marks obtained in Graduation will be placed higher.
  • If the tie still persists, then % of marks obtained in class XII (Science) or equivalent will be considered.
  • If the tie still persists, then % of marks obtained in class X or equivalent will be considered.

For Doctoral Programmes

  • Admission into Doctoral Program will be done based on the merit of the applicants.
  • Different merit lists will be prepared for different doctoral programs.
  • Admission into Doctoral Program will be done based on merit which is calculated by the applicants’ marks in the entrance exam.

Tie-Breaking:

In case if two applicants accomplish the same merit score, then to break the tie between them, the following measures will be carried out:

  • Applicants who have secured higher marks in the OUAT entrance test followed by the highest percentage of marks obtained in Postgraduation will be placed higher.
  • If the tie still persists, then % of marks obtained in Graduation or equivalent will be considered.
  • If the tie still persists, then % of marks obtained in class XII or equivalent will be considered.

For Admission into Diploma Agro-Polytechnic

  • Admission to this course will be done based on % of marks in Class X or equivalent & Class XII or equivalent exam (50:50 weightage of marks).

About OUAT

The OUAT is known as Orissa University of Agriculture and Technology was set up in 1962 and founded under the provisions of the Orissa Act (1961). Horticulture, Fishery Science, Veterinary Science & Animal Husbandry, Agriculture, Forestry, and other course are available at the university.

The university provides courses such as undergraduate, graduate, diploma, and doctoral programs. There are eleven constituent colleges that are affiliated with the university. Chiplima, Bhubaneshwar, Sambalpur, and Rangeilunda are the four academic campuses of OUAT in Odisha.

How to check the result for the entrance examination?

To check the OUAT entrance test result, visit the official website and follow the procedure given in this article to download the result. (mentioned in the result section).

Is it compulsory to fill the form – ‘B’?

Yes. To filling form-‘B’ is compulsory process.

For how many courses, OUAT entrance exam take place?

OUAT entrance exam is held to offer admission in the courses like Undergraduate, Postgraduate, Doctoral, and Diploma programs

In which mode exam will get conducted?

The exam will be conducted in offline mode

Can I bring Pan Card as ID proof along with admit card?

Yes. You can carry your original Pan Card as identity proof along with the OUAT entrance exam admit card.

What are the subjects that will come to the exam?

The exam syllabus consists of four subjects i.e. Physics, Biology, Chemistry, and Mathematics. To know more about the syllabus, refer to the syllabus section of this article.

Can I pay the application fee via offline mode?

No. Only online mode of payment will be applicable.

When will the OUAT 2022 counseling start?

The counseling for admission through OUAT 2022 will tentatively start from July month.

In case I didn’t give the exam, will I get a refund of the application fee?

No. You will not get refunded the application fee under any circumstances.

How many seats are offered through OUAT 2022?

For UG courses, a total no. of seats are 665 at all the affiliated colleges of OUAT.

Is there any negative marking in the exam?

No. Negative marking criteria is not there in the entrance exam.

Can I fill the application form for OUAT offline?

No, the application form can be filled online only from the official website of the OUAT.

Can I rectify the mistakes done in any application form?

No, you can not rectify any kind of mistakes because there is no such facility that will be provided by the authority.
