SCERT Odisha 2024 Eligibility Criteria

Applicants interested in filling the application form must go through the eligibility criteria for SCERT Odisha 2024. The detailed eligibility criteria for the exam is mentioned below:

Educational Qualification:

For B.H.Ed

  • The applicant must have a bachelor’s degree in B.A. / B.Sc. / B.Com from a recognized University with Hindi as an elective/pass / Honours subject and an aggregate marks of 50% in Master’s Degree in Hindi with required percentages of the mark (45% for the reserved applicants) either in Bachelor’s Degree or in Master’s Degree in Hindi.
  • The applicants in their final year of graduation (Both Arts, Science & Commerce) are also eligible to apply.
  • The applicant must have studied Odia as MIL up to HSC level or its equivalent or higher examination (10+2).
  • Such applicants who have passed the HSC Examination of BSE, Odisha without Odia as a MIL must have a certificate from the Headmaster of the school stating that the applicant has passed the HSC Examination in Odia medium.

For B.P.Ed

The applicant should have a Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of 50% aggregate marks. Moreover, the applicant must have participated at Inter College / Zonal / District / School Competition in sports and games as recognized by AIU / IOA / SGFI / Govt. of India.
OR

Bachelor’s degree in Physical Education with a minimum of 45% marks in aggregate.
OR

Bachelor’s degree in Physical Education with a minimum of 45% marks in aggregate and applicant must have studied Physical Education as a compulsory/elective subject.
OR

The applicant must have a Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of 45% marks. Moreover, the applicant must have participated National / Inter-University / State Competitions or secured 1st / 2nd / 3rd position in Inter College / Inter-Zonal /  School Competition in sports and games as recognized by AIU / IOA / SGFI / Govt. of India.
OR

The applicants must have a Bachelor’s degree in any discipline. Moreover, the applicant must have participated in international competitions or secured 1st / 2nd / 3rd position in Inter College / Inter-Zonal /  School Competition in sports and games as recognized by AIU / IOA / SGFI / Govt. of India.
OR

The applicants must have a Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of 45% marks along with at least 3 years of teaching experience in any stream.

For M.Ed

  • General category applicants must have secured at least 50% in B.Ed., B.A., B.Ed. / B.Sc.,B.Ed., Arts / Science Graduate with D.El.Ed. Degree and 45% for the reserved category applicants or an equivalent grade.
  • The applicants in their final year of B.Ed. /B.A., B.Ed. / B.Sc. B.Ed. / D.El.Ed. (For Arts & Science Graduate) are also eligible for the application.
  • The applicants must have passed Odia as MIL up to HSC level or any such equivalent or higher examination (10+2) or have passed Odia in a single subject.
  • The applicants who have passed the HSC Examination of BSE, Odisha without Odia as MIL must have a certificate from the Headmaster of the school stating that the applicant has passed the HSC Examination in Odia medium.

For M.Phil

  • The applicant must have a Master’s Degree Education (MA (Education) / M.Ed.) from any recognized University or its equivalent having a minimum of 55% marks in aggregate for General candidates and 50%  marks in aggregate for the reserved candidates.
  • The applicant must have passed Odia as MIL up to HSC level or any such equivalent or higher examination (10+2) or have passed Odia in a single subject.
  • The applicants who have passed the HSC Examination of BSE, Odisha without Odia as MIL must have a certificate from the Headmaster of the school stating that the applicant has passed the HSC Examination in Odia medium.

For D.EL.ED

  • The applicant must have passed  HSSC or 10+2 Examination or its equivalent examination from Arts /Science / Commerce from a recognized Board/Council with a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate for the general category applicant (45% of mark in aggregate for the reserved categories).
  • The applicants appearing for the HSC or 10+2 Examinations in Arts / Science / Commerce or its equivalent examination from a recognized Board / Council are also eligible to apply.
  • The applicant must have passed Odia as MIL up to HSC level or any such equivalent or higher examination (+2) or have passed Odia in a single subject.
  • The applicants who have passed the HSC Examination of BSE, Odisha without Odia as MIL should have a certificate from the Headmaster of the school stating that the applicant has passed the HSC Examination in Odia medium.

For B.Ed

  • The applicants having a Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or Technology (B.Tech) with a specialization in Science and Mathematics with 55% marks in aggregate for General applicants and 50% marks in aggregate for the reserved category applicants.
  • The applicant must have passed Odia as MIL up to HSC level or any such equivalent or higher examination (10+2) or have passed Odia in a single subject.
