A postgraduate medicine course in T.B. and Chest is the Doctor of Medicine in T.B. and Chest. The course will produce a competent chest physician who recognizes the health needs of patients with chest complaints and fulfills professional obligations in accordance with National Health Policy principles and professional ethics. It is a two-year postgraduate program for eligible postgraduate students.
Tuberculosis is one of the primary causes of a variety of diseases in this country. Because of the increased number of cars, vehicles, factories, and other factors, our country’s pollution level has risen.
As a result, the impurities and toxic materials in the air are rapidly increasing. Those materials will find their way into our chests and lungs, causing diseases. As these issues become more prevalent, our country’s medical department is now dealing with a greater number of patients. For the same reason, the TB and chest diseases health department is expanding.
The course combines theoretical and practical aspects of the study. The goal of the MD in Tuberculosis and Respiratory Medicine program is to produce competent medical doctors who understand the health needs of patients with chest problems. Universities, hospitals, clinics, governmental organizations, and research organizations are all good places for such graduates to work. In most of the colleges and institutes that offer the course, admission is granted based on a candidate’s performance on a relevant entrance exam, which may be administered at the state, national, or institutional level and is followed by a round of counseling.
