What is the full form of CFA?

CFA stands for Chartered Financial Analyst in its full form. As an international, non-profit professional association, the CFA Institute offers a nationally recognised professional certification to assess and credential the expertise and integrity of financial experts. It is regarded as a gold standard in the field of investment research and a globally renowned distinction in finance, and it is one of the most sought-after career opportunities for investment professionals.

Criteria for becoming a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA)

To become a CFA, an individual must pass all three levels of the CFA Institute’s Chartered Financial Analyst Exam, which are level I, II, and III. The CFA course consists of three levels and takes about 1.5 years to complete. The students will receive the CFA certificate once they have completed the course. The three exams, with the exception of level I, are held once a year in June, though they may also be held in December. A candidate who wishes to become a CFA must possess the following qualifications:

  • Applicants for the course must have a bachelor’s degree or be in the final year of their bachelor’s degree programme.
  • A minimum of four years of relevant work experience is required.
  • The candidate must have a total of four years of professional experience and education.
